I love the big old French Napkin Rings, which are slightly larger than those we find here, as they were designed to hold the heavy linen napkins that we often see on Brocante stalls. Due to their size they make great cuff bangles and come in some wonderfully different styles.
This one has a lovely stylised design of Lily of The Valley, ‘Muguets’ in French. The Lily of the Valley is a very popular flower in France, especially on 1st May, when they are sold from roadside stalls & special events as people give them as gifts to bring luck for the year ahead.
The bangle is slightly narrower than some of the other ones on the site, and sits very comfortably on the wrist.
It carries the original French Hallmarks, but has been re-assayed in London now so has the English Hallmark too.
It is 3.4 cm deep and measures 13.5 cm end to end
